TEAM 4 Coco
Coco is a Disney and Pixar animated film released in 2017. It is a movie that celebrates Mexican culture, especially the Day of the Dead. The film is emotional, colorful, and full of music. It tells the story of Miguel, a boy who dreams of becoming a musician, even though his family has banned music for generations.
Main Body
The story begins in a small Mexican town, where Miguel lives with his family. His relatives want him to continue the family tradition of making shoes, but Miguel secretly loves music and admires his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz. On the Day of the Dead, Miguel accidentally travels to the Land of the Dead after playing a magical guitar.
In this new world, Miguel meets his ancestors, who are funny, strict, and also very loving. There, he finds Héctor, a character who at first seems only interested in helping himself, but who later becomes Miguel’s best friend. Together, they go on an adventure to find the truth about Miguel’s family history.
The movie has an amazing visual style. The Land of the Dead is full of bright colors, flying creatures, and glowing lights. The marigold bridge, made of orange petals, is one of the most beautiful scenes. The music is also powerful: songs like “Un Poco Loco” are fun and energetic, while “Remember Me” is touching and emotional, showing the importance of memory and love.
The characters are very well created. Miguel is brave, talented, and passionate. Héctor is loyal and funny, but also tragic because people are forgetting him. Ernesto de la Cruz is charismatic, but he turns out to be selfish and cruel. Finally, Mama Coco represents tenderness and family memories, playing an important role in the story.
Conclusion
In my opinion, Coco is a wonderful and meaningful movie. It is not only entertaining but also inspiring because it shows the importance of family, traditions, and following our dreams. The film mixes comedy, adventure, and emotion in a perfect way. I really recommend it to people of all ages because it makes us laugh, cry, and reflect about life and death. It is one of the best animated films I have ever watched.
